Museum quality reproduction item

During WWI many of the Squadrons had a symbol painted on the side of their aircraft. The Pilots then had these made up into silver pins. This is a museum quality reproduction of the very rare 278th Aero Squadron Pin in Sterling Silver. What is very unusal about this squadron is that it arrived at the front on November 10, 1918 and never saw any conbat. At 11 minutes after 11 o'clock the next morning the war ended. They were designated an observation squadron and thus the owl for their symbol. They were demobilized on May 11, 1919. The pin is 1 ¾ inches tall.
