Museum quality reproduction item
In World War II a Service Pilot who was a civilian pilot who joined the military and then flew transports, liaison and other non combat aircraft outside the areas of operations. The wing was established on Sept 4,1942. This is a very well made 3 3/16 inch sterling silver museum quality reproduction of these wings complete with a pin back as was originally made by Walter Lampl Co. in what is called the Juarez style. The reason they are called Juarez wings is a bit of folk lore that they came from Mexico. The Service Pilot is extremely rare in this series.
