The reader's first inclination on opening this book may be to say, "OK, just why are there flight delays, and this better be good." For the most part, all the answers are thoughtful, informative, and practical. In fact, this will probably be a valuable primer for aspiring pilots, as it takes the reader through the process of obtaining a private pilot's license and the steps toward becoming an airline pilot. In addition, there are answers to such questions as, How is my pet handled? What is windshear? and How does air traffic control provide guidance to pilots? If the reader fears flying, some of the answers will be comforting, especially because Cronin assures us that all those noises and bumps are routine and there is no reason to panic.
