Museum quality reproduction item
Airship Pilot Blackington by Weingarten Gallery
Item Number: P-772In World War II a Pilot or Balloon Pilot who was certified by their Commanding Officer as qualified by experience and ability to perform technical observation duty could be awarded these wings. The rating was established on March 23, 1940 and the wing was established on November 10, 1941 and because it was a higher rating than a Pilot not many must have been awarded. This is a sterling silver replica of 2 inch AE Co wings with pin back. The 2 inch version is very hard to find.
