Ethiopian Airlines 787-8 w/Runway Section (1:400) by DragonWings 400 Diecast Airliners
Item Number: DRW56128

The lumbering bulk of the plane moved down the runway, its screaming jet engines thrusting it forward faster and faster. Finally the front wheels rose from the tarmac, the craft seeming to unglue itself from the runway as it soared gracefully into the air.

Dragon Wings can now make this type of scene a reality for model aircraft collectors. In recent months the Wings collection has offered accurate 1/400 scale terminal buildings, control tower, taxiway and ground support equipment _______ almost all the elements needed to recreate an airport scene. Until now, however, the one missing element has been a runway for aircraft to takeoff and land on. This important missing link has now been provided in a series of new releases, each of which features a carefully selected model aircraft posed on a runway section. The 1/400 scale runways are realistic looking in every aspect _______ they are finished in a typically faded concrete color with various runway markings painted on. To enable the scene described above to be reproduced, each set includes a miniature stand made of clear plastic. This sophisticated and unobtrusive device allows a plane to be displayed as though it is in the very instant of taking off or landing. For those who appreciate aircraft, these sets produce a dramatic display piece.
